This hostel has an excelent and beautiful ambience, true to the pictures. The interior design was wonderfully coloful and reminds its guests everyday that they're in beautiful Guadalajara, it truly created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The common areas were thoughtfully decorated, providing a nice space to relax and socialize with fellow guests and local friends made along the way. Another aspect that I appreciated was the staff's exceptional level of friendliness and eagerness to help. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed despite being late due a delay at the airport. The staff were almost always available to answer my questions or to provide recommendations about things to do locally and dining options that weren't always the typical tourist trap. I noticed that cleanliness was one of their top priorities at this hostel. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were always maintained. I appreciated the efforts made by the staff to ensure a hygienic environment for all guests. However, despite all the good, I cannot in good faith leave a review without mentioning some hiccups. I did encounter a few issues during my time here. One of the downsides was the unexpected room change for me. Despite having made a reservation in advance, I was asked to switch rooms three times during my stay. While I understand that situations may arise, it was a little troublesome to have to go through. Another minor setback was the occurrence of a blackout during my stay due to a thunderstorm. Although it was relatively short-lived and the hostel staff did their best to resolve the issue promptly, it was somewhat worrying. It may have been helpful if the hostel had a backup power supply or a contingency plan in place for such situations. Additionally, there were some slight issues with the water supply, and water tempetures, resulting in reduced water pressure or a temporary outage. While the staff did respond quickly, taking it very seriously, trying their best to rectify the problem, it did cause some inconvenience when I had no choice but to shower or to use the restroom. Despite these minor occurrences, I would still recommend this hostel for its overall positive aspects. With a bit more attention to addressing the issues mentioned, this hostel has the potential to provide an outstanding experience for its guests. Overall, my stay was memorable, and I appreciate the efforts of the hostel's staff in ensuring a pleasant visit.

2 nights pros: hotel has a beautiful well maintained courtyard with communal seating, plants & shade from the strong GDL sun. It’s in a fantastic location with an easy walk to most sites (cathedral, trains, buses). Attentive, friendly & helpful front desk. Felt like a hostel set up (in a good way) with morning breakfast & shared kitchen. Beds were comfortable & clean. There was enough furniture in the room so you don’t have to put all your personal effects on the ground. Cons: there’s a nearby dog that barks quite a lot. My earplugs solved that issue.

Beautiful, colourful place. Open air courtyard in the middle is the best setting for breakfast. Location is so close to the train, short walk to downtown. Many restaurants and amenities nearby. The staff are welcoming, helpful in providing a safe comfortable environment. Definitely recommend!

The location and the people make this a great option for budget travel. Rooms are very clean. It’s safe and convenient. I had a private room for almost a month there. The mosquitos were the only bad part but it’s rainy season. You also hear a lot of noise from other guests coming through the courtyard. I managed to still sleep through it. I recommend this place for sure.

Perfect for backpackers and casual travelers at a walking distance from downtown. You can bring/cook your own food and get free breakfast every morning. Don't forget a lock and a bottle for refilling.

This hotel was centrally located, and within close walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops. Our room was very clean and spacious. The shower got nice and hot. The hotel also has a nice kitchen, and they offer breakfast in the mornings. There are shelves available for guests to store their food. Another thing I liked is how secure the hotel is. I never worry about theft either. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Daphne, who really knows how to make guests feel right at home. I always had a restful night’s sleep here, just as comfortable as I do at home, so that says a lot about this place. I highly recommend staying here!
